We had an amazing first year at Future Lady Leaders and are humbled by the community’s response and the growth of our program! We have lofty goals this year and need your help! Join us for a night of fun, food, music, raffles, dancing, open bar and much more to support our Future Lady Leaders in raising our target goal of $5000!
Volunteer and give back to support Majoda Stables! A local Farm that provides therapeutic riding opportunities to special needs children in our community with Autism and CP 💙 Future Lady Leaders - we are going to roll up our sleeves and help however we can! Dress to get dirty! 👍🏽😊 Lead by example on Earth Day 🌎 by giving your time and energy to care for the land, the animals (some adopted or rescued!) and make an impact on the children that benefit so greatly from them!
More details on Majoda Stables below:
Riding on horseback offers many benefits and advantages for individuals with learning and communication differences, emotional and social issues, and physical differences. The physical motion of the horse stimulates the areas of the brain having to do with walking. It is rhythmical and has a cadence that the human body can respond to. It helps the rider to develop balance, coordination, and rhythm through the use of exercises and activities. Communicating with the horse, whether it be with verbal commands, or physical signals using the hands and legs, results in the horse performing the tasks the rider has asked for. It is possible to set up situations in which the rider can experience immediate success.
We are partnering with the Feeding 5000 organization to help fill back packs for the homeless in our community for the holidays.
This will also be the end of our sock drive so if you are coming to help - please bring pairs of new socks with you to donate!
Families Welcome! Fun, music, dinner, door prizes, silent auctions and yes - a wine raffle! We want to introduce Future Lady Leaders to the community and raise funds to support our community service projects and Future Lady Leader Scholarship!
Kids under 4 are free.
We will be going to Howard R. Yocum School in Maple Shade for our first community service project to renovate their restrooms by putting up positive and encouraging messages in vinyl! We want to increase student's confidence and remind them that they are supported, they are unique and that they have the power to make good decisions!
We have to perform this while the maintenance staff is in, that is why this has to take place on election day. We are currently looking into doing this at other schools as well!
